Acoustic & Signal Processing Engineering
Underwater channel modelling, modulation and coding schemes, array processing, detection and estimation.
Careers
Most engineering jobs end at a demo. Here, the thing you design gets built, qualified, argued over, taken to a mountain or a sea trial, and used. That changes what the work feels like.
Why here
We are not going to pretend defence engineering is easy or fast. It is slow, exacting and occasionally frustrating. What it is not, is trivial.
Teams are small enough that individual work is visible. If you design the front-end, it is your front-end — through review, build, qualification and the field report that comes back.
Acoustics, RF, embedded firmware, DSP, mechanical, autonomy and test are all here. You can walk to the person who owns the layer above yours, which is how engineers actually get good.
Six thousand metres. Salt water at pressure. Shock, vibration and a customer who will find the failure mode you missed. Constraints like these are the fastest teacher there is.
Every system here replaces something that had to be imported. That is a reasonable thing to spend a career on.
Disciplines
We hire continuously across these areas, at levels from graduate to principal. If your discipline is not listed but your work is relevant, write to us anyway — that is how several of our best hires arrived.
Underwater channel modelling, modulation and coding schemes, array processing, detection and estimation.
Real-time firmware, low-power design, RTOS, FPGA and DSP implementation, driver and board bring-up.
Analogue front-ends, high-power drive stages, power electronics, RF chains, EMI/EMC-conscious PCB design.
Flight control, state estimation, mission autonomy, precision landing, ground control software and BVLOS operation.
Precision mechanisms, sealed and pressure-rated assemblies, structural and thermal design, airframe engineering.
Acceptance test design, environmental qualification, instrumentation, calibration and trials support in the field.
Production engineering, assembly process, inspection, quality systems and indigenous supply-chain development.
Hiring process
A short call about what you have built and what you want to build next. We will be direct about the role.
A working conversation with the engineers you would sit beside — about real problems, not puzzles.
You walk us through something you have designed. We will push on it, the way we push on each other’s work.
A conversation with leadership about direction, growth and fit, and a decision without an artificial deadline.

Graduates & researchers
We take a small number of graduates and research interns each year from engineering institutes across India, and we place them on live programmes rather than side projects. Several of our senior engineers joined this way.
Write to us about graduate rolesSend a CV and — more usefully — a short note on one thing you have designed, what went wrong with it, and what you did about that. We read those first.
